I’m Douglas Carpenter, the proud owner of Comprehensive Hospitality Solutions, LLC. I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.
Having always been good with numbers, I started a career in accounting and finance straight out of college. I have thirty years of business experience, including a twelve-year stint as the chief financial officer (CFO) of a successful NYSE company.
I have been with Comprehensive Hospitality Solutions, LLC. since 2009 and have owned the company for the past three years.
Since acquiring the company in 2017, I noticed that business had been growing steadily by about twenty-five percent annually. However, due to COVID, we have made many concessions to our loyal customers in the hospitality industry, which resulted in lower revenue this year on an increased client base.
The part of my business that I find most enjoyable is my ability to positively influence my clients’ growth and materially impact their success rate. I firmly believe that if I provide a high-quality service, profitability will take care of itself and always grow.
As an individual, I believe what sets me apart from the others is my commitment to providing a valuable service at an affordable, highly competitive cost. I attribute my success to always meeting client needs, even if outside the core accounting that we provide. If it is a permit they need, we get it for them. If they need financials for a business loan, we prepare them and introduce them to capital sources. We always meet our client’s needs, and that’s our solemn promise.
Satisfying moments in my career have been many. However, this year I am super proud none of the restaurants, cafés, hotels, stores, or other establishments I serve have gone out of business. Helping my clients through 2020 has been challenging but has given me immense satisfaction over the year.
When I am not at work, I spend my free time writing and enjoy studying science and history as they fire my imagination. I also am passionate about contributing to society and have served as a volunteer emergency medical technician for twelve years.
I have enjoyed sharing my story about the things which matter to me and how they influence the way I do business.
